New Smyrna Beach has an uncannily high amount of shark bites every year... I've seen sharks caught out at Playalinda Beach (Canaveral National Seashore... Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge) Sharks can also be caught right there in the Indian River...

I personally am not much on shark fishing, so I wouldn't be able to give specifics, but I'm going to assume (because it's the best view without having a pass to get out on the space center proper) that you'll be watching the launch from the riverfront in Titusville... might want to hit one of the bait stores up towards Garden St. (I suggest Captain Hooks, but that's just me... there's also Action Bait and Tackle (A little further west on Garden) and... oh crap, what's the name of it... I've only seen it a million times... it'll be on the left just past the intersection of U.S. 1 and Garden... Captain Hooks is east of the intersection on the right... just past Papa John's right there on the corner.... someone at one of those should be able to point you towards some sharkies...
