I’ll take a stab at this for you. an inexpensive 5 day trip will run you about 2000 to 2500. Mexico is the cheapest place to travel in your hemisphere, with the best chance of catching the most amount of fish.

Without getting into too much detail, that amount should cover airfare, meals, transportation, hotel and fishing. a five day trip means 3 days of fishing, one to get there and one to leave. Use a local travel agent, at least for the first time. You have recourse when things go wrong, and in mexico, they will.

There are plenty of people in Ohio who go to Mexico regularly to fish, often at set times during the year, if you can find a group of seasoned travelers, even better, go with them. One word of caution about that, some people use Mexico as a place to do things they wouldnt think of doing at home. If you meet a group, and they all have beers in their hands, run, there are plenty of serious, respectful folks who go down there and spank fish. winkydink
