I’m new to the Denver area and I’m looking for fishing within 2 hours of the Denver metro area.

I’ve always found the lakes, streams, rivers, and ponds of colorado the best places to find fish.

You can pick up some pretty decent trout out of the arkansas river.

YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO Try South Platte, or Cheesman Canyon.

If you fly fish you’ll have a blast.

If you fish rod & reel, but don’t do lure’s….get some night crawler earth worms…just thread 1/2 of one on a hook….let the rest of the body dangle freely….. and just toss your line in the river & let it go. Trout will bite…Everytime…Guarunteed.

If you can’t touch worms: there’s always power bait…I did best with Charchuse color. May or may not bite…

If you like to use lures: Try a size 4 to 6 Panther Martin.
But a few of these..you’re bound to lose them… I did best with a yellow color, brass color spoon. These are a loads of Fun!!

If those places don’t work out for fishing, there is always Williams Fork as a backup.
