Got one of these new “Lite” Series Ugly Stik’s (1st link) for the MS’s and she’s head over heels bout’ it. Has the conventional Stiks but prefers this one over them. For the price and quality, one cannot beat em’. Check out link and I believe Cabela’s offers them in a combo (rod&reel). Hope it’ll help ya’ out…< ' ( (( > <

hey man if you are just wanting a good reel for sun fish i would just go on down to your local walmart and get a shakespear rod and reel combo. shakespear makes a get up that is the mantis line and it is runs about 25-30 dollars for the pair and i have 2 of them that i use for the sunnies and have used them for about 5-6 years now. they are not the strongest rod and reel but they are reliable and work very well and will do exactly what you want for pan fish and smaller bass and cats. man i hope this helps you out a bit good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience

Zebco all the way with a shakespear rod

  7. Bobby Says:

A 61/2 or 7 foot spinning rod with an open faced reel. Use 6 or 8 pound line and you can catch anything in that lake.

  8. Charles Slone Says:

Sunfish need a different size rod than bass & catfish. Catfish & bass normally can be caught with the same rod. So … for sunfish you need ..

A ultra light or light action spinning rod or spincasting rod, 5′-6′ in length.

For bass or catfish you can use a …

Medium action spinning or casting rod that’s 6′-7′ in length.

If you got any more Q’s, stop by and send me an e-mail.
