    i would go with a light wait rod and metal lures the best plastic bait will be a pink buble gum colored worm on size 4 hook or 5 if your going fishing in fast currents use planner bobbers or trolling and good luck

    I agree with the first guy, you’re gonna get a lot of different answers here. I’ll just tell you what works the best for me.

    I drift fish with one or two size 12 corkies above a size 2 or 4 Gamigatsu hook with a little bit of yarn in the bait loop. I always use a sliding sinker on the main line to help telegraph bites better.

    As far as line: Lately I’ve been using 8 lb Spider with a four lb leader. But I use an ultra light rod that can absorb a lot of the stress.

    Now it also really depends where you are also. Where I grew up in SW Washington you’d be a fool to use anything lighter than 12lb for mainline.

    Thanks for an idea, you sparked at thought from a perspective I hadn’t considerd yet. Now lets see if I can do something with it.
