		<description>alot depends on what kind of fishing he is gonna be doing, if trout fishing  then a ultralight rod and reel will work but if deepsea fishing then you need a really big heavy rod and reel  a good basic one to start with for pond, lake and small fish is a zebco 33 easy to use and cheap at walmart, can be less than  $30 you can also get a "catfish rig" a large rod and reel that is good for deepsea fishing at walmart for less than $50 good luck and i hope you get some fish for dinner!</description>

		<description>Their usually  kinda high but were i live we have a Bass Pro Shop and if you could go to a place like then you could look at a whole bunch of reels .I would find ones thats around ur local wal-mart of the price of like $50.00 or less just depends on how much you want to spend.
