<description>Watch your depth / if you are spearfishing with a group make sure you know where everyone is / stay down current from those who are not spearfishing if there are such people in the area (blood follows current and it is very impolite to do something to draw toothy type predators toward others who may not be equipped to deal with a possible adverse situation / put your quarry in a bag tied to a tag line so you can keep the little sharky type creatures and their buddies at some distance from your personal body until you get back to the beach or boat / know your gun (if it has multiple bands, do you really need all of that power for the type fish you expect to encounter) it is easy to stretch another band if you encounter a big boy lurking in the deep dark ocean / don't shoot anything you can not kill with your chosen weapon / if you will be snorkeling do not get drunk the night before because any water novement on the surface will make your tummy very very queazy and you can gag and stuff and possibly suck in some salt water and become so sick that you will want somebody to shoot you not to mention that regurgitation does nto float away from you very fast and tends to stick to you unless you swim really fast (underwater) away from the area!!!!! Those are just a few of the rules we have incorporated on our spearfishing trips!! have fun and be safe
