What is the best fishing supplies i should get?

I have been fishing with my mate and his Dad and have realy liked it so i want to get my own fishing supplies instead of having to use theirs. What is the best supplies i can get for surface fishing and ground fishing. I would like to know the best floats i can buy, best hooks, best weights, best line, best reel, best rod, best pole (if you think neccissary) and best bait. and all of the other things you think i might need. Thanks

it depends what fish if your fishing for smaller fish get a small pole with small line if your fishing for bigger fish get a bigger pole with biger line borat

it does depend upon the fish you are fishing for but i would go for a medium size rod so you can catch small fish and have a lot of fun catching bigger fish as well as for bait you could use minnows or worms crank baits, spinner baits,worms,buzz baits, corn for carp, cut bait (dead fish cut up), floater worms, jigs, ETC the best line is seaguar, Shakespeare has good rods and reels, as well as berkley ugly stiks are okay abu Garcia rods and reels are very good, for weights toungston weights are good, eagle claw hooks and poles and reels are good, gamagotsu are some good hooks as well.
