What are the best places in Southern California for lake and stream fishing?

Please stick to the SOUTHERN California area. Preferable if the location is a scenic fishing spot. The cleaner, less crowded, and more beautiful, the better.

    Stream Fishing
Some of the best remote stream fishing in California is in Deep Creek and Bear Creek. They both feature the illusive native Brown Trout. Maps are available at the Discovery Center. You will also need an Adventure Pass to park at the trailheads nearest the stream. The Brown Trout can only be fished with artificial lures (no bait) on barbless hooks. There is a limit of 2 a day on trout 8″ or larger. Anglers are encouraged to “catch and release” in these areas.

3 great Bass & Striper Lakes, with beautiful scenery are:

    1) Lake Casitas
    2) Lake Castaic
    3) Silverwood Lake

#1 & #3 being the lesser-crowded, but all are great fisheries, & all have great scenery!
