hi, in my opinion and experence the mainline assasin 8 or richworth tuti frutie freezer baits glugged or in dips are the best. ive caught on many lakes on 1st visits on these but there are so many others to try ask around your lakes see whats going in and what catches best , another thing about bait is finding one you feel confident with, so dont be scared to try dirrerent things. ive caught my biggest carp in the uk , france and spain on corn and maize! also ive had good catches on tigers and particle baits so if you fish 3 rods try 3 different baits
. there is no holy grail of baits just ones that work and ones that dont! the list below are boilies ive done well on…..

i only use frozen baits the carp digest them better than shelf lifes that are packed with preservetives they then recognise them as a food scorce
    all mainline baits
    richworth tuti frutie
    richworth esterberry
    richworth white chocolate
    nutrabaits trigga and ice
    frank warrick hi viz range
    solar pineapple
    scopex squid liver

hope this helps and tight lines
