I know it it probably crazy fly fishing for rainbows this time of year but i just got a new fly rod that i want to try out. Im fishing in the green river. Just name a fly that might get me something this time of year. Thanks for the help!

    There’s a fly out there that mimicks spawn…ie (trout eggs) There’s no fly hatches going on, so that would probably be fruitless this time of year. Try that spawn flie, there aint nuttin crazy bout that! codename oo-nothin

    Hi I fish snow fed glacier streams in the Himalayas; himalayan-fly-fishing.com and a must have fly for these conditions and the ones in the green river is a weighted cased caddis pattern fished deep on or near the bottom- Tight lines. Jonathan
