Tomorrow I’m fishing in a canal. I’m planning on using minnows, maybe some worms. That usally gives me success. Any tips for getting them to bit and bit faster??? Also I catch the minows myself and just use bread, but is there anything btter to use to get them in the net very quick? Thanks for listening and please answer.
Well going now, it’s the Erie canal in NY state. It has the normal spices that most freshwater has.
well yesterday there were no minnows so no fishing!

Any suggestions on a good place in Central Florida to do some bank fishing?

I don’t have a boat or access to a boat but, I love to fish! Can anyone suggest any places in Central Florida (in or near Volusia County) where fishing from the banks you can still catch fish and not just be drowning some worms? lol Also would love to find a place that is safe for my young children to fish and be able to catch something! Would love to spark their interest in the sport of fishing.

When fishing, how long should you wait after the fish first bites to try and reel it in?

I have been fishing a few times now. Sometimes when I feel a fish biting, I reel in too soon and it goes away. Is there anyway to make sure that the fish is caught on the hook and when should I start trying to reel it in after I feel the bite?
I go fishing in a river with live worms.

Hi,

What are some good baits to use for freshwater fishing? I currently know that worms work good, what else is a good option?

We are going to be fishing for about 5-10 LB fish, how heavy should my line be?

How should I setup the line on my rod? should I put a weight on it to make it sink or should I just let it float?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

How do you set up a fishing rod?

I basically know how to put it together and to put line on the reel, but I need the knot for tying a hook in and what bait to put on them. I’m mostly fishing for bass and other freshwater things in FL like mudfish and catfish. Don’t go into too much detail. Thank you!
and how to put on artificial bait and artificial worms, and live worms
