Capecodderbon asked: We have a salt water pier near us on Galveston bay and I want to get my husband a rod and reel for his birthday. He hasn’t fished in years and they are confusing these days. What is the difference between a baitcast reel and a spinner reel? What kind is usually used for pier fishing in salt water? I don’t want to spend a lot because I don’t know if I can reawaken his interest, but I’m hoping I can.

Itsme asked: I want to catch a few grasshoppers and use them for fishing bait but I need a way to keep them alive in a container so I can catch a lot of them and use them every now and then. How can I set up a simple habitat to keep them alive in?

I’m 13 and my dad goes tuna fishing a lot. It’s 50 miles out of the land. My dad thinks that it’s too dangerous because he has a AquaSport boat and it’s not that big. He said that he’ll take me if we go on a charter boat because it’s safer but it’s too much money. I want to go really bad for the first time and school is starting soon! HELP!

I didn’t watch how my father took the hook out because I knew it was painful. Because there are a LOT of turtles in that lake, how can we, if this happens again, remove a hook from a turtle with the least amount of stress and pain possible for the poor creature? Anything I could do to calm it down?
