I always catch crabs in Point Loma at Spanish Landing and I was wondering if I need a fishing license? I’m talking about using KFC on a string as bait and putting them in a bucket before releasing them (not like on a crab boat or anything). Like I said they’re released but I was just wondering if I could get a ticket for it? Thanks.

What are some techniques to tarpon fishing?

How far out off the beach should I be? What else besides crabs do tarpon eat? Is it better to find a pod greyhounding and follow it? If a pod is moving fast through the area, does it mean that they will take a crab if you toss it in front of them?
