What are some great fishing spots in Memphis Bartlett area?

I have been searching forever for a good fishing spot near the bartlett area. the best we have hit so far is around pickwick. i love pickwick its just that its 2hours away. we need something closer. Glengary lake was a good one but they had nothing but crappie and were looking to land some cats or bass. thank you.

Is it worth going fishing the day after a day’s worth of rain?

It rained pretty much all day today, coming in a steady drizzle, picking up a few times into a hard sprinkle, basically a regular old rain. So, would that rain disturb the fishing any? I’m thinking about trying a spot that is connected to our river, yet the water is placid. Typically stained. Would the fishing (panfish, cats) be better/worse?
