lehani asked: I’m new to the bass fishing world, and I’m just concerned if I need to buy a seperate type of rod/reel for bass fishing (baitcaster), for I only have experience using a spinning set-up for bluegill fishing. Any advice?

I bought my first cheap fly rod today and took it out to the Farmington river in Ct. My casting needs a lot of work but I love it already. I need all the advice I can get though, so if you were with me on my next trip what advice would you offer.

I can’t get enough of watching the worlds most dangerous job:working on a deep sea fishing boat catching the AK King crab and cod. Can someone tell me how I can apply I saw that one of the skippers at the end of the voyage docked in Seattle. Email me with tips and or advice…and yes I know lots of people die in this job mostly by drowning but I still want to do it.

My boyfriend and I would like to, sometime this summer, go to Nova Scotia, and go one a fly fishing trip. I am not a fisher myself, but love the outdoors and I have always wanted to go camping, tent and everything! I need some advice on how to go about planning. Can you rent tents? How do you find a place to camp near lakes, rivers, etc.

AK asked: He really likes fish. He loves to go to the pet store to look at them in the tanks. I want to take him fishing but I am afraid he will be sad when the fish dies. How do I make this easier for him?
2 is not too young, that wasn’t my question anyway… I was simply worried about my son having an adverse reaction and was looking for advice on how to make it easier for him.
I wasn’t looking for a lesson in fishing politics.
To catch and release or not to catch and release…I am not fishing for native or endangered fish. I am talking about fishing for Rainbow Trout that were stocked by the state to be caught on the free fishing weekend at our local lake.

I have some friends fishing in the Outter Banks this week and my advice to check with some local bait & tackle shops to find out what’s happening in the area isn’t working. My friends let it be known that they are down on vacation and would like to purchase whatever is currently working. I’d like to know, how do you get your information in this kind of situation?
