I would consider it hypocritical. It’s like saying you’re a vegetarian and working in a meat factory.

I don’t think so. Just because you won’t eat it, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a quite popular hobby.

Yeah. Think about it.
Would a vegetarian promote a device that kills cows or cooks only steaks?
If you’re a vegetarian because of animal rights, I think it goes without saying that it’s unacceptable to promote products that kill animals.

Catch and release, have a nut! Catch and feed your cat or boyfriend!

It depends on why you became a vegetarian. Vegetarianism is a diet followed by some people for various reasons. Some vegetarians I know could give a rats azz about animal rights in the meat industry. Some do it for health, religion, or they don’t like the taste and/or smell of animal protein. If you’re a vegetarian because you don’t want to contribute to animal slaughtering, then yes it is hypocritical to indirectly promote fishing.

No. Now if you said you’re against animals being killed unnecessarily, then it would be hypocritical. Vegetarian just means you don’t eat them.

Depends on why you are a vegetarian…
