Well, only some fishing poles come apart so be careful, if it doesn't seem like it comes apart, then it probably doesn't. The fishing line is just tied to the end of the hook, so you can cut that. If you find doing that do be annoying and tedious (like I do) by some swivels. Ask for them in any tackle shop.

Good luck fishing! Michael

I am a long time fishing woman. I will give you a trick I always use to make it easy to change hooks. First, tie a swivel ball sinker with a metal 'eye' to the end of the line. 1/4 ounce sinker is excellent in most situations. Now, come up on the line about 18" and tie off a long loop about 18" long. Double knot this loop so that it will not slip when pressure is put on it. Next, pinch off this loop and thread it through the 'eye' of the hook. Once this loop is completely through the hook, separate the loop into a circle and feed the hook back through this circle. Tug on the hook and now the loop is snug about the hook. To remove the hook, reverse the process. This method allows your bait to float, keeping it off the bottom, but the sinker will bump along the bottom with the movement of the water. By the way, I recommend a stainless steel long shank hook in most cases because they are easier to remove from the fishes mouth. As for breaking down the rod, no rod worth a cuss will break down. SharonW

I noticed you didn't have any misspellings.

I can only assume you're kidding. Right?

If not, I'd just use the hook that is on it until something breaks then you can ask the question, "how do i tie on a hook?".

Then we'll say, go to :

Perhaps your rod is a one piece rod and DOESN'T come apart. ln which case you'll be forced to resort to the method subscribed to by "JUSTFISH" who has a broken shift key. Grand Master Basser

U remove the hook from the fishing LINE. The hook may come with line on it already (called a leader) in which case it loops onto a loop on the line of your reel and can be removed. Otherwise use a nail clipper to remove. I always carry a nail clipper with me.
I avoid clips on hooks as it ruins the presentation. BUT if your hook comes with leader line on it then that;s ok. I like three way swivels which allow u to add a weight to offer a drop shot presentation. I always get bites on these.
- great site for beginners, highly suggest u check it out. ricardo9505

To remove the hook from your line, just bite it or cut it with something. I prefer to use scissors and always have a pair with me when I'm fishing.

Some rods take apart, some don't. If it's a 2-piece rod, you can simply see that the two rod pieces are stuck inside one another, so you just pull until the two pieces come apart. If there's nothing there then it's a 1-piece rod, which means you can't take them apart. Backwater Charlie

You just cut off the line where the hook is on and there you go it is off before you know it. Tinker
