How can I convince my dad to take me tuna fishing with him?

i am mo asked:

I’m 13 and my dad goes tuna fishing a lot. It’s 50 miles out of the land. My dad thinks that it’s too dangerous because he has a AquaSport boat and it’s not that big. He said that he’ll take me if we go on a charter boat because it’s safer but it’s too much money. I want to go really bad for the first time and school is starting soon! HELP!

Ask your Dad- if He “can tune a piano- why can’t You tuna fish…”? !! Maybe he’ll laugh at that hard enough, that he’ll consider letting you go with Him… Good luck! :)

Well, I would say to earn the money and help pay for the charter boat, & take all precautions if he decides to let you be in the aquasport

Sorry but I’m with your dad on this one. It is too dangerous to fish for big tuna in a small boat that bounces around on the water. Also, the fish are too heavy for you to actually hold the rod so it’s better to wait.

See if there is something else that you can think of to do with your dad before school starts. Better yet, ask him for alternative things you could do with him. Good luck!! ; )
