If fishing spiders can go under the water, how close do they swim near people?

I read online that Fishing (or “Dock”) Spiders will sometimes swim below the surface to catch small fish. I have an incredibly bad phobia of spiders. Honestly, how close do they come to humans when swimming below the surface?

Also, while we’re on the topic, I plan on moving to Australia one day, a place reknown for their incredible wildlife, which includes a wide array of dangerous spiders. They’re disgusting, disgusting creatures. What are the chances of, say, finding a Huntsman Spider underneath the bedsheets on an average night in Australia lol?

Thank you!

I am trying to put together a paper on shark-safe fishing methods…. But I’m having trouble finding good sources! I’m attempting to find a cheap alternative to catch-all type nets.

Note- I am not talking about trying to make shark fishing illegal, I am just trying to reduce accidental deaths.

Any help would be great!

Even key words related to the subject would help!

You could also help me by letting me know who the founder of the Florida Marine Fishing Regulations is. If you will, it would be a blessing.
