Where in Oregon should I go camping and fishing?

Hello! My boyfriend has never gone camping, and I wanted to show him Oregon in all of its splendor! I used to camp as a kid, but don’t remember any of the sites that we went to!
So: where do YOU reccomend we go camping? We’re looking for a beautiful place where we can experience the beauty of Oregon and perhaps do some fishing! Also, if there are any events (like festivals of sorts) going on, we’d love to go to that, too!
Any and ALL of your suggestions (and camping stories) are greatly appreciated!
